Medcure Surgical Clinic

This surgical clinic in Andheri captures the idea of holistic wellbeing. The aim for this project was not just to simply create a functional clinic, but to craft a space rooted in comfort and serenity that makes healing a holistic experience for the patients. Understanding that patients often enter clinics with preoccupied and worried mindsets, we prioritised creating a space that promotes a sense of ease and tranquility through the material and colour palette.

Biophilic elements such as real plants and natural motifs are interspersed through the waiting area, creating a natural, serene environment to ease the waiting patients. Inside the doctors cabin, minimalism is continued to minimise sensory overload. A material palette of warm neutrals like beige, complimented by wood and brushed brass hardware, create a space that feels warm and safe. While the minimalism surfaces maintain a sense of simplicity and professionalism, smaller choices in furniture (such as the swivel chairs) help create an informal environment where patients can be at ease interacting with the doctor. In continuity with the colours in the waiting room, accents of green have been continued into the cabin, in soft furnishings and accent pieces.
